One Year In Business

Last week marked the anniversary of opening The Pet Aunty Grooming. It has been quite the year, both personally and professionally. There have been so many highs and so very few lows from a business point of view, I am very aware that I am in a fortunate position. I was unsure how to mark the occasion and overthought the whole process. If you know me, you will understand how normal that is 😅

It turns out, no idea I came up with was good enough to show how thankful I am that so many of you have trusted me with your dogs and have come back time and time again. It is a responsibility I take very seriously, and everything I do when your dogs are in my care is done with their safety in mind. Each session has factored in some time for them to decompress in the different environment and then the same time afterwards, whilst they wait for you. This means that they are more comfortable in the space before I start their groom and afterwards they have time to unwind and relax again before they go home.

There are plans in the works, and as soon as I can share them, you guys will be the first to know. But I continue to work on bettering my knowledge, especially of anxious and nervous dogs, so that I can support you and your dogs in the best way possible. All dogs deserve a grooming experience tailored to their needs that makes them feel as safe as possible. Sometimes I have to work hard to have them trust me and the process. A lot of them are scared that this will hurt, or they won't know what is coming. From Cockapoo to Cavalier King Charles, German Shepherd to Golden Retriever, Spaniel to Dachshund, Pug to Terrier and everything in-between I have space in my heart for them all.

I know I am not the greatest at updates, so if there is anything you would want to see more of on here, put it in the comments or send me a message. Would you like to see more behind the scenes? Tips for grooming your specific breed of dog? Details about the products I use and their benefits?
Thank you! For the most amazing year!
